Hiking - Culture

The Cyclades Olive Museum’s Guest House opened in 2023. It is located at Ano Pitrofos village in the middle of the very popular hiking Andros route No (9): Apikia – Chora – Ano Pitrofos -Paleopolis – Batsi, 6 km from Chora. It is also accessible by car, right in front of the GH.

The GH is part of the Cyclades Olive Museum‘s 400-year-old stone building, which was always an animal-powered olive mill and retains all its original equipment.

The GH has an independent entrance, free public parking outside the GH, heating, good insulation, big bathroom with shower, hot water 24 hours a day, a fan, refrigerator, hairdryer, coffee-tea maker, and a large courtyard with a garden.

WiFi is free but outside the GH due to the thick stone walls of the building.

There are two taverns about 2,5 km away.

The village has 7 water springs. Two of them are 60 m away from the GH.

The two very popular beaches Apothikes & Chalkolimionas are 6 km away.

You will receive a free tour of the Cyclades Olive Museum through the history of olive oil production, learn about olive oil qualities and see a video of the animal-powered olive oil extraction that took place in the museum. See HERE
